The
Gains & Losses page displays information
in four different sections: Largest
Monthly Gain/Loss, Range of Monthly
Results and Maximum Drawdown and
Downside Deviation.
The
Range of Monthly Results shows the
largest one month gain verses the
largest one month loss for each year
the service has been operating.
:: Largest Monthly Gain/Loss
The Largest Monthly Gain & Loss
chart shows the service's largest single one
month gain verses its largest single one
month loss.
:: Maximum Drawdown
The
Maximum Drawdown measures the maximum loss that
the service has experienced and is
taken from the top of the particular
move to its bottom. The report first graphs the
drawdowns you would have
experienced, and then gives you the
maximum drawdown as both a
percentage and a dollar amount.
:: Downside Deviation
Downside Deviation measures downside
volatility against a predetermined
Minimum Acceptable Return (5% per
annum), and is a measure of the degree to which the
service's results have deviated from that level of
return, but only on the downside.
